Paula Abdul said “For me, I like it when you sing songs from past eras.”

Simon Cowell called the performance “screechy and annoying.”

For her second song, Paris Bennett sang “Be Without You.”

Randy Jackson said “You rocked it.”

Paula Abdul said “I loved your voice, I was hoping that maybe you would do your own Paris flip on it though.”

Simon Cowell said “Actually I think that you got that wrong Paula, I think she did rather well with that.” The song contained a word not appropriate for prime-time network TV, and Paris got bleeped during that segment of the song.
