Jenna Bush, The Presidents Daughter
Barbara Pierce Bush and Jenna Welch Bush were born November 25, 1981, in Dallas, Texas and are the fraternal twin daughters of U.S. president George W. Bush and Laura Bush. Barbara Bush is the elder sister to Jenna Bush. They are arguably the first First Twins, as the first twin children of a sitting President.
Jenna Bush is named after her maternal grandmother and attended the University of Texas at Austin. According to Reader's Digest, Jenna Bush "has followed in her mother's footsteps and is teaching at a Washington, D.C. public school."
Middle School and High School
Upon their father's induction into the office of Governor of Texas in 1994, Jenna Bush and Barbara Bush attended St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Austin, Texas. In 1996, Jenna Bush and Barbara Bush began attending Stephen F. Austin High School, graduating with the class of 2000. Jenna Bush and Barbara Bush elected to attend separate universities after graduation, with Jenna Bush remaining in Austin to attend the University of Texas, and Barbara Bush following her father's legacy at Yale University.

Graduation and campaigning
Both daughters, Jenna Bush and Barbara Bush graduated from college in May of 2004; the events were given heavy media coverage. This more open relationship with the media grew during the summer of 2004, prior to the 2004 U.S. Presidential election, in which Jenna Bush and Barbara Bush made several public appearances, including giving a speech to the Republican Convention on August 31. Jenna Bush and Barbara Bush , who took turns traveling to various swing states with their father, gave a seven-page interview and photo shoot in the August 2004 edition of Vogue magazine. In the interview Jenna Bush describes the twins' decision to accompany their father on parts of the campaign trail as their own decision.
"It's not like he [her father] called me up and asked me," she said. "But I love my Dad and I think I'd regret it if I didn't do this."
While campaigning, Jenna Bush met her current beau, Henry Hager. The media also extensively covered the campaigning of John Kerry's daughters Vanessa and Alexandra, turning the election into, at least in part, a "battle of the daughters".
Both daughters, Jenna Bush and Barbara Bush had incidents involving underage drinking. On April 27, 2001 Jenna Bush was charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol in the East Sixth Street entertainment district of Austin. On May 29, 2001 Jenna bush was charged with trying to use a third party's identification (fake ID with the name "Barbara Pierce," her paternal grandmother's maiden name) to purchase alcohol at Chuy's, a popular Mexican restaurant within close driving distance of the University of Texas at Austin campus. At the same incident, Barbara Bush was charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol. They both pleaded no contest to all charges.
On July 6, 2001, for the false identification charge, Jenna Bush was ordered to pay $100, perform 36 hours of community service, and attend a session where victims of alcohol-related crimes speak. For the underage drinking charge, Jenna was fined $500 and her driver's license was suspended for 30 days.
"It's not like he [her father] called me up and asked me," she said. "But I love my Dad and I think I'd regret it if I didn't do this."
