I think this show is becoming a big joke. It is really unfair for the people that are really talented. This world has some really messed up people in it that are voting for people because they are the worst. That's not what this show is about. Tonight did it for me. I haven't missed a show yet but I can tell you I wan't be watching it anymore. I don't necessarily think Gina was the best singer but she was by far not the worst.

Was Gina really that much better than Sanjaya last night? Or is it that members of the audience here in america such as yourself just can't swallow the idea of an outsider of dark skin like sanjaya actually progressing in this competition? While Sanjaya definitely did not have a breathtaking performance last night, it was definitely comparable to the other finalists. Such discord and unacceptance of other cultures is exactly what spreads racism, should not be tolerated. I strongly believe you should rethink your values that you have displayed in your article.

Ok, I am sorry, but skin pigment, culture or lack of does not have anything to do with this competition. Sanjaya is not the calibar of singer that the other contestants are. He is not as good as them. What makes me angry about him is that he has to know that people are voting for him for the wrong reasons, he should be noble and step down. He is not there because he is a fantastic singer, he is there because Howard Stern found a way to manipulate the worlds most popular show.

IN REAGARDS TO THE STATEMENT: "Sanjaya is not the calibar of singer that the other contestants are. He is not as good as them.".....THEN WHY IS HE IN THE COMPETITION IN THE FIRST PLACE??? I MEAN, WHY IS HE ON STAGE IN THE FIRST PLACE??? WHO PUT HIM THERE...IN THE FIRST PLACE??? THE PRODUCERS DID...and now it appears that either he has MORE fans than people know about or have underestimated the number of OR (MOST LIKELY) a group that is significant in size (OR who are QUICK REDIALERS with 2 hours of free time each week) is suceeding in exposing the REALITY TV show vs LEGITIMATE SINGING CONTEST argument. THE SHOW MUST DEAL WITH WHAT IT HAS CREATED...A JOKE. THEY THRIVE ON THIS CRAP...THEY LOVE IT..."IS RYAN GAY?" "DOES PAULA HATE SIMON?" "ANTONELLA IS PRETTY BUT CANT SING...(GIRLS WILL HATE HER AND TUNE IN TO SEE HER FAIL)....I MEAN COME ON, the first few weeks are all about the worst singers (THE IAN BERNARDOS and other freaks) so that viewers will all stand around the next day saying "DID YOU SEE THAT?" and so that Good Morning america will start with "SANJAY IS STILL THERE?!" vs 9 stories later "ohhh...yeah...American Idol had some good singers last night again...boring blah blah blah".....AND SO NOW IT APPEARS THAT THE SHOW must deal with what it has created. DO THEY CHANGE THEIR METHOD? In the furture do they keep up this crap with crappy singers and lose CREDIBILTY but keep high rating s and free publicity? or try to save some credibilty and lose free publicity and BUZZ the next week......AND SO IT SEEMS that finally, on one fatefull evening in May (or whenever) the flamboyant Ryan Seacrest will say "AMERICA...after 36 million HOWARD STERN FANS VOTED...THE WINNER OF AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 6 IS...SANJAYA MALAKAR (?)"

absolutely. by no way am i encouraging this howard stern madness, but simply am implying that if race is a factor (at all) in the Sanjaya-hating, then it must stop. While he can't sing, he does happen have a strong charismatic personality that is attractive to voters.

I AGREE...I dont think its race though...I think its more FEAR OF THE ODD / DIFFERENT from others (and the lack of live vocal talent) is what they are all screaming (and crying about). He clearly is not the MOST talented on this show BUT this show is not about the MOST talented. The producers of the show have made it that way and wrapped a REALITY TV SHOW in a POP SINGING CONTEST WRAPPER. What is disturbing more than anything are the messages that the Moderator / Creator of Votefortheworst.com is getting from people. One CRAZED AMERICAN IDOL FANATIC WROTE "If I was a laywer I would sue you and take all the money you make for this site and give it to Sanjaya! Until then, my mom and I will pray that you get sick or something, cause then you have to spend all your moneys on medicine and stuff and can't buy a car or something with the money you make from hurting Sanjaya and the other cool Idols I want to be like!" WTF? WHO IS WORSE??? (Of course I had to go check out this site because its only on the news like 55 times a day!) BOTTOM LINE...the show created this contreversay and they did it for seemignlky all of the right reasons. ON ONE HAND...PEOPLE WHO LOVE THE SHOW are all up in arms over what should have been a rather BORING season. AND ON THE OTHER HAND...people who NEVER watch this show are tuning in to see what the SANJAYA fuss is all about...and then the "HOWARD STERN FANS" who would never watch this show are either tuning in or at least (PERHAPS) voting and causing a commotion. EITHER WAY THATS SPELLS: RATINGS + RATINGS + PUBLICITY + RATINGS...and that equals money of course.

Everyone in the competion deserves to be there except for Sanjaya. He can sing BUT he just doesn't have the voice to make it. His voice is too soft & he's not loud enough. Do the right thing & vote him off soon so someone that CAN sing, will be the next Idol. It will be a sad cold day in hell, if Sanjaya wins and race, colour or religion has nothing to do with people wanting him gone. Face it, he can't sing. His sister was way better & she didn't make it. Go figure. It makes me sick to watch Idol every week & he's STILL there.

I am going to speak out for the first time ever about an elimination this season.....Gina did not deserve to go home...i would have to say Phil or Haley should have went...Gina was by fart the best vocalist on Tuesday night over Phil and Haley.....I just hope that America can realize this is a singing competition and not a personality contest.....Good luck Gina,i know you will do well
