Katharine McPhee has been sacked by her record label and is now unemployed. Katharine McPhee is not the only American Idol star who has been sacked by their record label, Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks have also been sacked by their record company.
RCA Records confirmed that they’ve not renewed "American Idol" star Katharine McPhee's contract. A close source say's....
"Winning American Idol is no longer a guarantee that you’re going to make it. Katharine McPhee was hot for a few months. But audiences are fickle."
It just show's you that being on American Idol does not get you a life time record contract. It might make you a few hundred thousand of even a million dollars, but not a life time money earner.
