Syesha Mercado Cries on American Idol
Syesha Mercado cried on American Idol season 7 after some comment made by Randy Jackson on her second song.
The theme was songs from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and they all did pretty poor to be honest.
Syesha Mercado sang for her first song “Proud Mary.”
Randy Jackson said....
“This is the third week in a row that Syesha has shown up, and she’s in the zone.”
Paula Abdul said....
“You look like a star.”
Simon Cowell said....
“For me, I thought it was just a bad, shrieky version, a bad impersonation of Tina Turner.”
Syesha Mercado sang for her second song “A Change Is Going To Come.”
Randy Jackson said....
“The first song I loved. This one I did not love as much.”
Paula Abdul said....
Just as Paula finished, Syesha started to cry. Then Simon said his part..
“You’ve turned this into a superstar performance for me.”
Simon Cowell said...
“I have to be fair, and I’m going to agree with Paula.”
After that Ryan gave her a hug and Simon said that Randy got it completely wrong and still crying Syesha Mercado said that the song meant a lot to her. Syesha said that she researched the song to see what it was all about and said it came out during the civil rights movement. This will definitely keep her in this week and she deserves it.
