We're in for a long night with the red carpet when the ceremony takes place at the Kodak theatre, LA. No one wants to arrive too early but the event organisers will have staggered the arrivals with pinpoint accuracy to avoid embarrassing collisions. Does this mean we won't get to see Brangelina bump into Jen Anniston and her new beau John Meyer? You never know!
Dominic Cooper of Mamma Mia! fame confirms he is taking to the stage but won't confirm exactly why. Rumours have it he's to perform - hopefully wearing spandex.

The red carpet is over, the stars have been hussled inside, and we're waiting for the ceremony to begin. Rumour has it Jessica Biel did her own hair for the ceremony, maybe the credit crunch has hit some of the girls.
Reviewing the dresses for the fashion blog coming up later on. Tilda Swinton loves to shock with her dress choices, and this year is no different, with what looks like a sack for a top - but the real disaster goes to Sophia Loren whose hideous outfit looks to be embarrassing Meryl Streep while they have their photo taken together.
