Kate MossKatherine Moss, known as Kate Moss was born 16 January 1974 and is a British supermodel who was once the face of Calvin Klein. Kate Moss was born in Addiscombe, London Borough of Croydon, England.

Kate Moss was discovered at the age of 14 by Sarah Doukas (the founder of Storm Model Agency) in 1988, at JFK Airport in New York City. Kate Moss then went on to become the anti-supermodel of the 1990s. Kate Moss ushered in the waif look (which prompted much speculation over her weight) with a highly publicised campaign for Calvin Klein, including posing nude in ads for its perfume brand, Obsession. Storm Model Agency lists Kate Moss as being 173 cm (5' 8") but it is widely known that Kate Moss is shorter than that, about 168 cm (5' 6"). Twiggy, a famous model during the 1960s who is 163 cm (5' 4"), wrote in her autobiography that she and Kate Moss are about the same height.

Now in her 30s, Kate Moss is still working and has become a "supermodel" in her own right.

In September 2005, after Kate Moss was filmed while allegedly cutting and inhaling cocaine, several of her sponsors disassociated themselves. However, led by Virgin, work has rapidly returned.
