Anna Nicole Smith, Bahamian investigation continues.


Bahamian Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez says that the investigation into the death of Anna Nicole Smiths son, Daniel Smith will continue following the release of the latest lab results.


Authorities there received lab results from two facilities late Friday night, and police have concluded that more investigation is needed.


According to officials, the toxicology and tissue tests were conducted by two labs, including one in the U.S. used by Anna Nicole Smith's private pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht.


A source who has seen the results confirms that they showed elevated levels of methadone and Zoloft in Daniel Smith's system, similar to the findings that Dr Cyril Wecht revealed to PEOPLE last week.


Dr Cyril Wecht did say the results don't change his opinion about cause and manner of death.

"We have drug deaths in America all the time,"

"The cause of death remains clear: The combination of these three drugs killed him. As for the manner, based on what I know, it was accidental."

Anna Nicole Smith's son, Daniel Smith, not suicidal.


Anna Nicole Smith had hired a forensic pathologist to perform a 2nd autopsy on Daniel Smith.


Cyril Wecht, 75 said the 20 year old Daniel Smith had been taking an antidepressant before his death last week..

"About four to six weeks before he died, Daniel had been prescribed a small dosage of one of the milder antidepressants."

Cyril Wecht was adamant that Daniel was not suicidal....

"Everything was well under control. There is nothing to suggest this was a suicide. The answer will reside with the toxicology tests."

Unfortunatly the results can take at least 2 weeks.


Cyril Wecht has ruled out heart disease, cancer, systemic infection or a pulmonary embolism.


Daniel Smith's body has now been released to Anna Nicole Smith who has hired Butler's Funeral Home to take care of the arrangements.


Anna Nicole Smith's Bahamian attorney said...

"Anna Nicole wants to know how Daniel died and we all want to know. It could take weeks to get a definitive, final answer."

Anna Nicole Smith's son's death - new claim.


A third person may have been in the hospital room with Anna Nicole Smith and Daniel Wayne Smith when he died.


According to the local newspaper a close friend of Anna Nicole Smith was also in the room that night.


The newspaper was also told that patients overheard Anna Nicole Smith screaming loudly and blaming someone for the death of her son.


Anna Nicole Smith was heard shouting...

"You caused this"

Mr Rassin, the CEO of Doctors Hospital said...

"At 9.38am the nurse was called, following which physicians on the floor were immediately summoned. Recognizing Daniel was unresponsive, they initiated CPR. A code blue was then called and the team responded from the Emergancy Room."

"The continued for 22 minuets, without response. Daniel was then pronounced dead at 10.05am on Sunday."

A close source also said that Daniels organs were all found to be in

"excellent condition"
