I gotta say Rihanna looked pretty stunning at the BET awards show on June 26th.


VIDEO OF THE YEAR was won by Beyonce - "Irreplaceable"


BEST ACTRESS was won by Jennifer Hudson, man this girl is doing great since getting votes of American Idol.


Jennifer also won BEST NEW ARTIST.

ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
I know you're not supposed to read but I'd be totally incoherent if I didn't. It's handwritten, it's short. More than anything, I am deeply moved by the open-hearted appreciation our small film has received. Which in these fragmented times speak so openly speak of the possibility of innocence, growth and connection.


Acting for me has always been and always will be a team sport. I cannot work at all unless I feel a spirit of unity around me. So my main sense of gratitude goes to the entire cast and crew and production team of Little Miss Sunshine for creating the same sense of joy and trust and community that the film speaks about. I'd like to thank the Academy, Fox Searchlight, my wife Suzanne, my sons Adam, Matthew and Tony for their endless support. My representation Estelle, Lee, Frank and Melody, and for the great teachers I've had throughout my life, both in and out of the profession. Thank you very much.

Four answers to four questions you want to knowWhat were your childhood dreams/ambitions?
I wanted to act ever since I was five years old.


What was your first big break?

My first real break was being asked to be in the original company of Second City in Chicago.


Tell us about your journey on the movie for which you are nominated?
Not much of a story there; I was sent the script by my manager and agent, fell in love with it and got offered the part. I found out later that the directors, Valerie and Jonathan had initially turned me down because they felt I was too virile for the part. It was the most flattering rejection I ever got.


What was your most amusing moment working on the movie?

I have a line in the film that tickled me so much I could barely say it. It's when I ask my grandson, played by Paul Dano, what his name is. We laughed our way through that moment until finally I had to say it without looking at him.


What was the hardest challenge/obstacle on the movie?
I was concerned about pulling Abigail into the van while it was in motion. We rehearsed it a lot, but it continued to feel dodgy. I was happy when it was over and we came out unscathed.


What was your most memorable moment working on this movie?

The most memorable aspect of the film was the endless invention bubbling up from the other cast members during the filming of LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE there was an endless number of wonderful surprises by the other actors.

Oh my God. I have to just take this moment in. I cannot believe this. Look what God can do. If my grandmother ... I didn't think I was going to win but, wow, if my grandmother was here to see me now. She was my biggest inspiration for everything because she was a singer and she had the passion for it but she never had the chance. And that was the thing that pushed me forward to continue. But I'm so grateful to have my mother here celebrating with me. My boyfriend, my sisters and my brothers back home, and then I've got two of them here. Thank you all for being here, and supporting me. I'd also like to thank Bill Condon, our director, who's a genius. Wow. Oh my God. Unbelievable cast. I'd like to thank the Academy. Definitely have to thank God again. I can't believe this. Wow, I don't know what to say but I thank you all for helping me keep the faith even when I didn't believe. Thank you and God bless you all. Could this be worse than Simon telling this years award-show-superstar Jennifer Hudson she was "out of her league" in the top 12 on Idol? Not yet, but it has potential.


Robyn Troup, who freakin rocked her winning performance with Justin Timberlake at the Grammys on Sunday, was cut from the Hollywood round on Idol last night! What exactly wasnt smoking hot about her? While singing and dancing with JT, Troup showed strong, likable personality. And, by the way, America voted her the champ of the "My Grammy Moment" contest.

Note to Idol Producers: I didnt see Anthony Federov at the Grammys bringing "sexy back."
