Jordin Sparks Wins American Idol 2007

It was not the best final I have watched, but Jordin Sparks deserved to win.


Jordin Sparks said she grew up on "American Idol," and watching the television show since she was 12 years old and telling her mother it was what she wanted to do.


Jordin Sparks told reporters backstage after winning in the season's finale...

"Now I'm actually doing it,"

Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks started the show with “I Saw Her Standing There.” The Gwen Stafani was brodcast live from her concert. It was not one of my favorite songs of Gwens, and what the hell was she wearing.

The the first American Idol Kelly Clarkson sang “Never Again.” then that was followed by the top six American Idol male finalists performed “Ooh Baby, Baby,” and then were joined on stage by Smokey Robinson to perform “Being With You” and “Tears Of A Clown.”


Blake Lewis and Doug E. Fresh performed “The Show.” which I thought was a bit crap.


Then the top six American Idol female finalists performed “I Heard It Through The Grapevine,” and then were joined on stage by Gladys Knight to perform “I Feel A Song In My Heart” and “Midnight Train To Georgia.”


Next up was Tony Bennett who performed “For Once In My Life.” then followed by Melinda Doolittle and Bebe & CeCe Winans who performed “Hold Up The Light.” Melinda Doolittle has god a massive career ahead of her.


American Idol season 4 winner Carrie Underwood performed “I’ll Stand By You.” and then a crap performance by Sanjaya Malakar and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry performed “You Really Got Me.” Joe Perry was great though.


Next in line was Green Day who performed “Working Class Hero.”


American Idol season 5 winner Taylor Hicks performed “Heaven Knows.” I think Taylor Hicks is great, he is a good singer and performer. Jordin Sparks and Ruben Studdard performed “All I Need to Get By.” Bette Midler performed “Wind Beneath My Wings.”


Then a tribute to The Beatles Sgt. Pepper was performed by American Idol winners Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Hicks, Carrie Underwood, and Ruben Studdard with the American Idol 6 finalists.


Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell predicted that Jordin Sparks would win, well we all did, while Paula Abdul said both were winners.


The after a world record 74 million votes that Jordin Sparks was the winner of American Idol season 6 in 2007.


Jordin Sparks said..

"Thank you so much for everything,"

"Mom, Dad, I love you. Nana, Papa, P.J., thank you guys."

Then she began "This Is My Now," the tune picked by viewers in a new online "American Idol" songwriting contest.


Well thats it until January 2008 for season 7 to start.. what will American watch now?..

Jordin Sparks May Win American Idol.


It was not the best show I have watched on American Idol, but I think Jordin Sparks is going to win and so does the judges, Randy Jackson, Paula "broken nose" Abdul and Simon Cowell.



Ryan Seacrest did mention Paula Abdul and about reports that she had broken her nose. Ryan Seacrest asked Paula about it and Paula said she tripped over her dog Tulip but that the dog was fine, and Ryan Seacrest quipped “So the bitch is ok, alright we’ve got it.” Ryan Seacrest has been walking on the thin line for a long time now.

Blake Lewis first song was “You Give Love A Bad Name.”


Randy Jackson said “I give you a ten out of ten on the beatboxing, dawg. The beatboxing was hot, you had the triplets going on with the drum thing. The singing for me was just alright.”

Paula Abdul said “I wish I could give you more than a ten.”
Simon Cowell said “You’re not the best singer in the competition, but you are the best performer I think we’ve had.”

Jordin Sparks first song was “Fighter.”


Randy Jackson said “It wasn’t your greatest entertainment thing, but your voice, you were stellar.”

Paula Abdul said “You were stellar, awesome.”
Simon Cowell said “I thought the vocals actually were a bit shrieky in the middle.”


Simon Cowell called round one for Blake, Paula Abdul called it a tie, and Randy gave the edge in performance to Blake and edge in vocals to Jordin.

Blake Lewis second song was “She Will Be Loved.”

Randy Jackson said “Great song and a very nice vocal.”
Paula Abdul said “You sounded great.”

Simon Cowell said “It was good, it was safe, it wasn’t as good as the first performance, and I actually wouldn’t have chosen that song in the final, because I don’t think it makes that much of an impact.”

Randy Jackson said “That was flawless, that was unbelievable, I think better than the original.”

Paula Abdul said “You are in great, great vocal voice tonight.”
Simon Cowell said “Now that was good.”

on the third song Blake Lewis sang “This Is My Now,” which is the song that won the American Idol songwriting competition.

Randy Jackson said “You did a pretty good job with it. It was alright, you don’t have to feel that bad about it.”
Paula Abdul said “Even if it’s not the genre of music that you like or enjoy, I think you were in great voice.”

Simon Cowell said “I thought it was all a little odd to be honest with you, Blake.”


I did to, I dont think it was that good and i probebly would not buy it.. on to Jordin Sparks now..

Jordin Sparks last song was also “This Is My Now.” as it will be the fist song the winner will release. Randy Jackson said “You were the best singer tonight. You deserve it all, baby.”
Paula Abdul said “You’re an angel.”

Simon Cowell said “You just wiped the floor with Blake on that song.”

I agree with Simon Cowell, Jordin Sparks was great at it and I think it will give her the American Idol crown.

Jordin Sparks V Blake Lewis.

Tonight's the night when Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis go head to head to the dream of becoming the next American Idol.


It will probebly be a starstudded event tonight and tomorrow night for the final vote. The Top 12 will reunite on stage, along with special guests.


Over 100,000 people auditioned for American Idol, and now only two contestants remain – Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks. One of them will be crowned the next American Idol on the two-hour season finale Wednesday, May 23.

Melinda Doolittle Eliminated From American Idol 16th May.


I have to say, Melinda Doolittle was the most consistent singer and the best overall singer ever on American Idol.

The downside for Melinda Doolittle is that I dont think she is marketable or brandable, where Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks are. Jordin is only 17 years old and is a very pretty girl and Blake for some reason all the little girls like him.


Now Simon Cowell did say to Melinda Doolittle.... "If I’m going to award a place in the final to the person who has consistently delivered week after week it’s you." Ryan Seacrest asked Simon Cowell who he thought would make it into the finale, Simon replied “I want to see my girl Melinda in the final.” Did people change there vote because Simon said this? probably not as he said the same thing about Carrie Underwood and she won.

But I am sure that Melinda Doolittle will have a great career ahead of her and I am sure Simon will have signed her.


Next week will be the best week, the grand finalie between Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis.

Melinda Doolittle Eliminated From American Idol 16th May.


Melinda Doolittle has been eliminted from American Idol tonight, leaving Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks for next week final.


You could tell that Simon Cowell was not a happy chappy, he wanted Melinda Doolittle to be in the final.
