Mandisa has been eliminated from American Idol. Mandisa was in the bottom 3 along with Elliott, and Paris. Simon Cowell was shock to see Paris Bennett in the bottom three. Simon then says that he thinks Elliott would stay and Mandisa would go. He was correct as usual..

Mandisa says “I want to thank my fans so much. Your support has meant the world for me, and the prayers that have been lifted up for me I know will continue to have full force for me, so I thank you and I bless you in the name of Jesus.”

The show is now down to 8 people, 1 more will be eliminated next week.

Simon Cowell says “Mandisa, you are blossoming. I mean that was a very…I mean apart from the vocal it was a very sexy performance. It’s like a great stripper sang that song.”

On American Idol on the 15th March 2006 Mandisa sings “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing.” Before Mandisa sings, Ryan Seacrest takes Mandisa’s shoes off.


Randy Jackson says “This wasn’t as great as last week,” but also adds “You’re the best so far.”


Paula Abdul says “You can sing anything.”


Simon Cowell says “Ok, now we have a competition, best so far.”

Mandisa is 29 years old and is from Antioch, TN. Her favorite female singing artists are Alicia Keys, Beyonce and India.Arie.


Mandisa made her audition for American idol in Chicago.


She cant remember when she started singing, but she has had some formal singing training she graduated with a bachelor's of music degree with a concentration in vocal performance from Fisk University.


She loves acting and would love to meet Oprah.


Her American Idol is an author and speaker named Beth Moore. She inspires her to live more like Jesus and she wants to do the same.


Mandisa's most embarissing moment was when she was scheduled to do a little set at a local coffee shop. She practiced so hard the day before that she lost my voice on stage in the middle of "You Give Good Love." She had to cancel the concert and send everyone home.
