Melinda Doolittle Eliminated From American Idol 16th May.


I have to say, Melinda Doolittle was the most consistent singer and the best overall singer ever on American Idol.

The downside for Melinda Doolittle is that I dont think she is marketable or brandable, where Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks are. Jordin is only 17 years old and is a very pretty girl and Blake for some reason all the little girls like him.


Now Simon Cowell did say to Melinda Doolittle.... "If I’m going to award a place in the final to the person who has consistently delivered week after week it’s you." Ryan Seacrest asked Simon Cowell who he thought would make it into the finale, Simon replied “I want to see my girl Melinda in the final.” Did people change there vote because Simon said this? probably not as he said the same thing about Carrie Underwood and she won.

But I am sure that Melinda Doolittle will have a great career ahead of her and I am sure Simon will have signed her.


Next week will be the best week, the grand finalie between Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis.

Melinda Doolittle Eliminated From American Idol 16th May.


Melinda Doolittle has been eliminted from American Idol tonight, leaving Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks for next week final.


You could tell that Simon Cowell was not a happy chappy, he wanted Melinda Doolittle to be in the final.

American Idol - Last 3 standing.


Last night on American Idol 2007 the contestants had to sing three songs. One song selected by the judges, one song selected by the producers, and one song selected by the contestants themselves.


Jordin Sparks’ sang first, she performed “Wishing On A Star,” which was selected by Simon Cowell. Randy Jackson said “That was a very good vocal.” Paula Abdul said “Simon picked a good song for you.” Simon Cowell said “Even though I chose the song, it wasn’t actually one of your better performances.”


Blake Lewis’ first song, he performed “Roxanne,” which was selected by Paula Abdul. Randy Jackson said “All in all, I’ve got to give you an ‘A’ on that.” Paula Abdul said “It was fresh, I really loved it.” Simon Cowell said “It was good, it wasn’t great.”


Melinda Doolittle’s first song, she performed “I Believe In You And Me,” which was selected by Randy Jackson. Randy Jackson said “That was hot, you blew it out the box.” Paula Abdul said “I think one of your best performances this season.” Simon Cowell said “I think it was your best performance in the last four weeks.”


Now on to the second songs... Jordin Sparks’ second song, she performed “She Works Hard For The Money,” which was selected by the producers. Randy Jackson said “Very nicely done.” Paula Abdul said “Jordin, you worked hard for the money tonight, I thought you were fantastic.” Simon Cowell said “Actually, it was a very good performance.”


Blake Lewis’ second song, he performed “This Love,” which was selected by the producers. Randy Jackson said “Very nicely done.” Paula Abdul said “This is a good night for you.” Simon Cowell said “Actually, I preferred that one to the first song, Blake.”


Melinda Doolittle’s second song, she performed “Nut Bush City Limits,” which was selected by the producers. Randy Jackson said “I liked that.” Paula Abdul said “We love, we love you, and we love you.” Simon Cowell said “I thought it was actually again another brilliant performance.”


Now on to their third song... Jordin Spark’s third song, she performed her own selection of “I Who Have Nothing.” Randy Jackson said “I think that was your best performance of the night.” Paula Abdul said “You just sounded really great.” Simon Cowell said “I wasn’t loving it as much as I should have done, because it’s an incredible old-fashioned song and a performance, so I actually wish you had chosen another song.”


Blake Lewis’ third song, he performed his own selection of “When I Get You Alone.” Randy Jackson said “It was alright.” Paula Abdul said “I think you had three great songs, three great performances.” Simon Cowell said “I actually really liked that.”


Melinda Doolittle’s third song, she performed her own selection of “I’m A Woman.” Randy Jackson said “You can sing anything, the phone book, whatever.” Paula Abdul said “Melinda, you’re fantastic.” Simon Cowell said “If I’m going to award a place in the final to the person who has consistently delivered week after week, it’s you.”


And Simon Cowell is always right....I think she will be safe on tonight elimination.

At the start or American Idol, Ryan Seacrest got Simon Cowel mad..


Ryan Seacrest said...

“Once again we will be stretching this show into a full hour, and I promise no filler.”

While Ryan Seacrest was talking to the judges, Simon Cowell kept rubbing the back of Paula Abdul’s neck. Paul Abdul shouted at Simon Cowell, “I’m not your puppet,” and then Ryan Seacrest then said... “We’ve seen his puppet, you’re much prettier.”


Well Simon Cowell did not take that one lying down. He told Ryan Seacrest that he wanted an apology, but Ryan Seacrest did not give it.


After the music video in which the American Idol finalists sang “Paint It Black.” , Ryan Seacrest asked Melinda Doolittle, Phil Stacey, and Lakisha Jones to come to center stage. Ryan Seacrest then told Melinda Doolittle and Lakisha Jones that they were safe and announced that Phil Stacey would be leaving tonight. Phil Stacey gave a farewell performance of “Blaze Of Glory.”


Later on Ryan Seacrest asked Jordin Sparks, Blake Lewis, and Chris Richarson to stand up. Ryan Seacrest then told Jordin Sparks that he messed with her so much last week that he wasn’t going to do it to her this week. So he told Jordin Sparks to sit down that she was safe. What a relieve, after last week, Ryan did it right tonight.


Blake Lewis and Chris Richardson stood on stage waiting to hear the results, they professed to being best friends and said that they cant wait to go on tour together. Ryan Seacrest then announced that after 135 million votes Chris Richardson was going home. Chris Richardson gave a farewell performance of "Wanted Dead Or Alive."

American Idol Eliminations 1st May 2007.


After a great show last week, I wonder what if they can keep the spirit up.


On the show American Idol Gives Back they raised over $60 million for the charities in the US and Africa.


Tonight they will have to give it 110% as two of them will be going home tomorrow night.

Melinda Doolittle

and

Lakisha Jones


I think Phil Stacey and Lakisha will be the ones eliminated on tomorrow nights American Idol.


I hope that Jordin Sparks shines tonight, then she will definitely win the competition.
