Melissa McGhee has been eliminated from the American Idol.




Ace Young, Melissa McGhee, and Lisa Tucker stand on the stage as the bottom three. Ryan Seacrest sends Ace Young back to safety. It’s between Melissa McGhee and Lisa Tucker, and Ryan Seacrest tells Lisa Tucker that she is safe. Melissa McGhee is eliminated. Melissa’s elimination comes as no surprise as she received very little screen time in the competition and was widely predicted to be leaving first even before Tuesday night’s performance show. When Ryan Seacrest asked Melissa McGhee if she expected to be standing here tonight, she said

“Yeah, I did.”

We are now down to 11 contestants and the show must go on.


Melissa McGhee forgot her words on Tuesday and she paid the price for it last night, she did a version of Stevie Wonder's "Lately,". Simon Cowell still praised her by saying

"In my opinion, this was your best performance so far,"
