Nicole Kidman's American debut was in Days of Thunder (1990), a stock-car racing movie, in which she played opposite Tom Cruise. Although Cruise was married to actress Mimi Rogers at the time, he and Kidman began an affair. Tom Cruise divorced Rogers and the couple married on Christmas Eve 1990 in Telluride, Colorado. They adopted two children, Isabella and Connor, and lived in Los Angeles, California, Australia, Colorado, and New York City.
Tom Cruise left Nicole Kidman three months pregnant, just shy of their 10 year wedding anniversary. She subsequently suffered a miscarriage. The marriage was dissolved in 2001. Much media speculation came about because of their reasons for this, but both celebrities maintained their privacy and were guarded in their public comments. One persistent rumor claims however that Kidman's desire to bring up their children Catholic, and her critical views on Scientology caused problems in her marriage with Tom Cruise, who is an outspoken follower of the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard. It is rumored that Nicole Kidman never believed in Scientology, but accepted it to keep her husband happy. She is now a practicing Catholic.
Since divorcing Tom Cruise, Nicole has been associated with singer Lenny Kravitz and allegedly is engaged to Keith Urban. The tabloids have linked her with countless others.
Katie Holmes To Have A Silent Birth
Katie Holmes who is 26 and fiance Tom Cruise met in 2005 and Tom Cruise was quick in changing Katie Holmes to studing Scientology.
When giving birth, the woman should be kept silent so that they do not traumatise the baby...according to the philosophy of Scientology.
Breaking News reported that placards saying
"Be silent and make all physical movements slow and understandable"
were carried into Katie Holme's house last week.
Tom Cruise advocates the system, explaining:
This is Katie Holmes first child and she is getting ready for a scientology birth.
