Dora Noemí Kerchen AKA Dorismar
Dora Noemí Kerchen, also known by her stage name, Dorismar, is a model, actress, television host, and Argentine singer. Working first in Argentina and later in Miami. Dorismar was selected to appear on the cover of Playboy, representing The Sexy Ladies of Latin TV, in March 2003. Dorismar has been the hostess of the Univisión Network, (the largest Spanish-language television network in the United States), television show Caliente since 2000. Dorismar's image has been part of inumerable advertising campaigns, and recently she began to sing Mexican regional music, recording her first disc in Los Angeles, California.
In 2005, Dorismar posed in provacative posters distributed in Mexico aimed at protecting endangered sea turtles from people who believe their eggs are a source of virility, proclaiming
"My man does not need turtle eggs because he knows that they don't make him more potent," and ""Sea turtle eggs DO NOT increase sexual potency!"
These advertisements drew some derision from women's rights groups, and several environmental groups refused to be associated with the campaign.
In 2006, the U.S. State Department abruptly deported Dorismar to Argentina, asserting that she was an illegal alien in the United States. Dorismar has contested this effort, claiming that her physical attributes place her in the category of "alien of extraordinary ability", which would allow her to seek residency in the U.S. based on her talents.
