Oprah Winfrey Says No To Gay Relationship

Oprah Winfrey and Gayle KingOprah Winfrey has spoken out about the recent rumors about her relationship with her best friend.


Oprah Winfrey is saying that

"She is not gay".




Oprah Winfrey spoke about her close relationship of 30 years with Gayle King in the August issue of Oprah's magazine, O. Gayle King is an Editor of the magazine.

"I understand why people think we're gay," Oprah Winfrey tells the magazine. "There isn't a definition in our culture for this kind of bond between women. So I get why people have to label it, how can you be this close without it being sexual?"




Gayle king said...

"The truth is, if we were gay, we would tell you, because there's nothing wrong with being gay"




Gayle King continued to say that the rumors used to bother her as

"it's hard enough to get a date on Saturday night, but I don't care anymore."



"I've told nearly everything there is to tell. All my stuff is out there. People think I'd be so ashamed of being gay that I wouldn't admit it? Oh, please."

The nine figures Oprah Winfrey takes home for her own show are topped with a healthy portion of revenue from Harpo's Dr. Phil spinoff.


Oprah Gail Winfrey was born January 29, 1954 and is an American Emmy Award-winning talk show host and magazine publisher.


Oprah WinfreyOprah Winfrey was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi on January 29, 1954 to an impoverished Baptist family. Oprah Winfrey was originally named Orpah Gail Winfrey, after the Bible's Book of Ruth. The midwife switched the "r" and the "p" around when she was writing the birth certificate so Oprah became her accepted name.


Her mother, Vernita Lee, was a housemaid, and her father, Vernon Winfrey, was a coal miner and, later, a barber; then, city councilperson. When Oprah Winfrey was born, Vernon was in the Armed Forces. Her parents were unmarried teenagers when Oprah was born. After Oprah Winfrey was born, her mother travelled north for better job opportunities, and Oprah Winfrey spent her first six years living with her Grandma Haitee Mae. Oprah Winfrey's grandmother taught her to read and took her to the local church, where she was nicknamed "The Preacher" for her ability to recite Bible verses. Oprah Winfrey's grandmother helped her succeed. When Oprah Winfrey was little her grandmother would take a switch (in the South, that custom meant the thin green leafless shoot from certain trees — more for psychological effect than for pain) and would hit her with it when she didn't do chores or if she misbehaved in any way.
