Tara Palmer-Tomkinson has decided to go ahead with nose surgery.


At last Tara Palmer-Tomkinson will have the surgery to repair the damage to her nose caused by drug abuse.


Tara Palmer-Tomkinson says that she

'Feels ashamed'

"It hurts because it is a personal thing and it's something I'm very ashamed of,"

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson told Heat magazine.

"It brings back a load of history that I put to bed a long time ago. I've never had a nose operation for the simple reason I'm absolutely scared of hospitals. But sometimes you need a push to do something and this is it."

"I'm all booked in. I'm an optimist in life and the pictures have given me the final push to do it, so in that way it's good."

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson warned,

"People who have used cocaine probably have no idea of the damage they've done to their nose - it's only years later that you see the damage."

After years of cocaine abuse, it now shows on Tara Palmer-Tomkinson nose on the photographs that have just been released.

Tara Palmer Tomkinson appeared at the Grazia Lifetime Achievement awards and people could not beleive what they saw.


One guest said: "Tara was dressed up and looked terrific, but her nose was in a terrible state. I couldn't stop staring at it because it had such a strange indentation. It was the talk of the party."


Tara Palmer-Tomkinson's friends have said that she has been clean for more than 6 years, but her £400 a day cocaine habit has now scared her for life.

"I've given myself a nose job because of all the cocaine I shoved up it," she said. "My cartilage is gone. I just have fresh air."

And Tara Palmer-Tomkinson revealed how her habit almost brought her to the brink of death.

"I was a dead woman walking. I needed help, or I knew I was going to die."

"I would do more than five grams of coke a day. In the end, I didn't do lines - I did the whole lot as one. I threw the stuff in the air and sniffed clouds of it."
